This is where my account stands at the close of trade on Friday 24 February, 2012. My $10,000 account is $9,844.88, so still a loss for the 5 weeks of $155.12. The paymaster and escalator EAs were successful this week, recovering AUD$771.56 but with the loss from the previous 4 weeks of AUD$926.68 I am still down $155.12. Maybe by the end of next week I'll have recovered all my losses.

Vertue Trading record the real trades they make on their web site. They trade a live account each morning and evening in the sites trading room. Unfortunately they are showing the returns as pips now rather than as $ profit or loss on their $10,000 account. Their figures, like mine, are genuine.

At the close of trade on Friday / Saturday 3 March, 2012 my AU$10,000 account is now AU$9,839.74, a loss of AU$160.26 for the 7 weeks that I have been using Vertue Trading's paymaster and escalator EAs. My account was briefly in profit on Friday but up to this date I am not achieving the results I had hoped to achieve using their non-discretionary (mechanical) EAs. I will start to trade using their discretionary signals in the Odyssey system and see if the performance improves.

Now at the end of the 8th week of trading the Vertue Trading "Forex Odyssey Trading System" mechanical EAs (the paymaster and escalator) my AU$10,000 is still in negative, AU$9,703.91. I had to close all trades at about 2am Sydney time in preparation for updates to the system due to the end of daylight saving in NSW but the figures recorded here are accurate and represent taking every trade that was indicated except for those ruled out because of two failed trades in a row or because the pair were in congestion. Eight weeks of using the system = a loss of AU$296.09

Oh bro, Does that "Forex Odyssey Trading System" really work? Do you think there is potential?

Does the system really work? It has in the past but look at the results I got for the last 8 weeks. It hasn't been profitable for the 8 weeks I have been using it (I didn't trade this week) but I suspect that if I did I may be back to break even or very slightly in profit using the system.

Is there potential? If they can repeat past results or even achieve the results they got in the 20 + weeks before they closed down for Christmas (51% return) then yes, but since Christmas it's been breakeven at best. I've considered using the system as a way of confirming decisions to take trades rather than following it blindly. In fact it came out in the morning sessions that people who have made money with the paymaster and escalator EAs since Christmas have been people who didn't follow the system rules and closed trades while they were in profit rather than allowing the EAs to manage the trade for them because most of the time the EAs managed them into a small loss or a breakeven. There may be potential if you use it that way.

There is nothing in their education that you can't learn for free on sites like this one so I bought the system because I wanted a software package that would identify and manage my trades while I was at work. So far it's been a big disappointment because it has consistently identified trades at support or resistance, recommended placing a trade at these points only to have them retrace into the stop loss, taking me out of the trade for a loss and then the trade reverses and go on to be a successful trade but not for me because of the overly cautious stop loss.

I'd recommend that you do some self education before you pay $3,000 for this system and then come back to it and make a decision once you have a bit of knowledge about Forex and trading.

Another problem with Vertue Trading is the poor product they use for recording the education sessions. In theory you are supposed to be able to review all of the past education session by replaying the session on their Omnovia site / link but after about 10 minutes the video no longer matches the audio and after a while either the audio or video stop working all together. They keep telling people to check their bandwidth but it's clearly a problem with the omnovia system and not people's bandwidth.

I still believe that the people involved with Forex Odyssey Trading are genuine, decent and honest people. I believe them when they tell me that trading has periods like this but it's not easy to keep going with a system that can't produce a profit in 2 months. Imagine if you were depending on it for your income.

For the week 19 March 2012 to the end of trade on 24 March 2012 the balance of my AU$10,000 is now AU$9,200.93. Using the Vertue Trading's Forex Odyssey Trading System (the two mechanical strategies, paymaster and escalator) has produced a further loss of $502.98 for the week.

Before the Christmas holidays 2011 the profit of Vertue Trading's own PM and ESC trading account was about 48%, now it is down to about a 20% return since they began recording the current results on 1 July 2011.

In my personally trading, the system has had successful trades but it has not produced a nett profit for the 9 weeks I have been trading the system.

For the week 26 March 2012 to the end of trade on 31 March 2012 the balance of my AU$10,000 is now AU$9973.90. Using the Vertue Trading's Forex Odyssey Trading System (the two mechanical strategies, paymaster and escalator) has regained $772.97 for the week. But after 10 weeks of trading this system I still have never had a week that produced a profit and I am still down $26.10 for 10 weeks of trading.

I place all the trades that are identified in the morning and evening trading sessions so my results reflect how the system performs based on trades identified and placed by Vertue Trading's own people.

If you are considering the system I could not advise you to make the purchase until they have resolved the problems with it and until it demonstrates that it can at least produce something that resembles a reasonable percentage of winning trades.

The link above will take you to a website that looks like it's been put together by primary school student. No proof of performance just a list of supposed buy and sell signals for March. No details in the subscription section just "write to us" at a free gmail email account. Sound like a professional outfit? Don't respond to their advertising.
