I have a question. My system is proven over time and I currently use it on intra day charts, but I realize that fundamental Announcements care less about my system or technical levels. Should I apply the system if it triggers shortly before an Announcement ?

You should really think about how this system was tested. Did you disregard Fundamentals ? or were the test done on all data ?
You could maybe
incorporate these announcements in your testing, I did that after I looked at www.forexsupport.biz for some discussions on these Announcements.
