Gbp/usd - 2.0175...The British pound rose due to renewed buying in sterling especially versus the Japanese yen. Bids by European names are now reported at 2.0150, 2.0110/15 with stops only emerging below 2.0100. On the upside, some offers by U.S. funds are noted at 2.0195/00 n 2.0220/30.

Usd/jpy - 115.58...The greenback maintained a firm undertone on renewed cross selling versus the Japanese yen due to the rally in U.S. stocks. Bids by U.S. names are now reported at 115.35/40, 115.15/20 with some stops seen below 115.00 but more demand is tipped at 114.70/80 n 114.50. On the upside, some offers are noted at 115.70/75 n 115.90/95 with stops abv 116.00.
