A study was done two years ago by scientist to 17 male traders in the City of London. Trader’s testosterone level was measured twice a day by taking saliva samples twice a day at 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. and during each sampling time, traders also recorded their profit and loss.

By means of the trader's earlier trading history, the scientists established a daily-average to which they could match up to the test results. They found that each day testosterone levels were significantly higher on days when
traders made more than their one-month daily average than on other days.

There was theory from the researchers that if testosterone continued to increase, or happen to chronically level up, it may possibly bring about to have the reverse effect on a trader's profitability by escalating risk-taking to losing levels. Earlier studies have revealed that controlled testosterone (to higher level beyond the body limit) can lead to unreasonable decision-making. They consider that this is because testosterone has also been discovered to cause impulsivity, dangerous risk taking, and in severe cases (among users of artificial anabolic steroids) to euphoria and mania and sensation seeking.

If higher testosterone level has a direct relation on the profit made by the Financial Traders, this is good news to all and not just to the financial traders. What is being influenced when the testosterone level is higher (based on the body limit) is the ability on making decisions. Everyday we are making many decisions and there are decisions that are profitable but risky. And because it is risky, we don’t engage on it.

The result of the study is just timely especially in our present day, wherein if we want to succeed in any field we need to face and handle risk. If our courage to handle risk is directly influenced by our testosterone level then increasing it naturally is the best thing to do.
