Thread: Live or demo ?

I am not agree. Please don’t use this at live account. You can practice your strategy in demo account first to see the performance how it works. It can be supportive for avoiding loss when trading practically in live.

demo experience sometimes doesn't work in really account, its really true. but that not mean , it is useless. *beginners level of course minimum have to spend 3-5 months in here to ensure live trading experience. *

Both accounts are having their own value for trading. Before moving to live account one must have knowledge of trading and for that he must have traded with demo account for learning.

A demo account is very useful for new traders and those who want to back test a strategy. The experience you've gained on a demo account will help you live, but not completely. That is why you start with a micro account and deposit very small money.

demo is a place to prove yourself how can you handle trading strategies you have , so, don't ignore the demo , you suggest 3-4 months to stay in here , its a long time for beginners level to keep patience in here, that's why i prefer minimum 1 months for that.

I will say demo is a place to learn from basic to the high level. Nothing is going to help you for your trading work but demo account learning will help you.

Demo could be very useful to get important skills like placing orders or operating with the platfrom too. Active daytrader has no time to think about such routine tasks since he needs to act quickly and at the same time very accurate - any mistake in placing order could cost a lot. But demo trading is not the best solution for strategy testing. Such manual testing would be extremely time consuming, thus it would be better to use automated backtesting software.
Another important point is that to be able to operate with real account trader has to know how to manage psychological pressure caused by risk of losing money. While trading on demo trader has no fear of losing that could influence trading decisions. That is why sometimes it is better to use cent accounts to be able to practice without exposure to substancial loss.

The fact that you are trading on a demo account and making profit does not guarantee success on a live account. The conditions on demo and live accounts are very different. If you are new trader, I would like to tell you that some brokers give free money to learn on a live account. I have used the $500 free money from Forexchief broker to test their live platform in the beginning. Try it.

Demo is virtual account so we also trade with demo account is like not serious and light mood. But when we enter in Real money account we face the real world and our emotions become more different.

Emotions are different when using a demo account. That fear and reluctance is not there because we know we have nothing to lose. So only a use a demo account to perfect a trading strategy. Don't think because you make money with a strategy on a demo, you will succeed with a live account.
