As a beginner its safer to go for micro accounts as the risk factor is less. Once you understand the analysis its much more easier for you to make big investments. Forex trading online is much more easier and secured, provided which company your opening your account with.
I tried a few of them, but i found Forex Trading with mytradingweek.com much more easier and secured. Plus the support is good and trust me i had zero knowledge about Forex trading before.

I agree, babypips is a great place for new traders to get the basics, but at some point, you will want to find a group of traders to trade live with.. it increases the rate at which you learn, plus you will learn many strategies that you would otherwise not learn on your own.. Here is the live online forex trading room i trade with.. it's amazing... the live moderators are great, they explain the trade setups very clearly, and they are profitable, they post between 1000-2000 pips per month to follow and learn from..

whatever you do, best of luck!

Free Forex course are quite beneficial for the intials starting in Forex market but when you finally think about earning successfully in the forex trading market, you would ultimately have to enter into real money trading. Such practices are good for being knowledgeable and learning the fundamentals, but you will come to know about the actual market scenario only when you practically trade through your real account. Hence, practice yourself and when you feel that you are capable enough to win the real trading market, step into it and win.
