Default What was your biggest obstacle?

Everyone has a different story and every successful trader had to face various challenges and obstacles when they started out. Those who claim they didnít struggle at all obviously never traded in their life. We all have a different learning curve and approached trading with a different mentality and from different angles.

What was your biggest obstacle you had to overcome before you felt you were on the right track?

I think to me it was to trust myself that I would figure it out and get to the point where I could create a strategy that works for me in order to achieve consistent trading profits. I remember when I decided to trade I had no idea what I was getting into and I did take the time to educate myself to the point I felt comfortable to open my very first account and place my first trade.

    What was yours?

Basically, the biggest obstacle is ourselves. Mental, psychological, lust, greed and many more, all of this is in ourselves. We just have to control ourselves to be successful in the forex, but also must be balanced with improvement trading skills as well.

I think thats are the common obstacle for new comers. I feel the same when I was starting forex trading, especially when start using a real account. But over time, all began to be controlled. Experience is the best teacher for those who want to learn.

I believe patience is one of the most important factors that is hindering a person from becoming a successful trader. Patience in a way also relates to addiction. If you lack patience, then you won’t be able to sit on your hands until you see a good trade. Sometimes you can go many days or even weeks before you see a trade generate and if you are not patient you will eventually find a reason (probably not a good one) to trade and eat some losses. In the trading world, you need patience (LOTS OF IT) to survive IMHO.

Of course, all it takes process. If we want to try, I'm sure we can overcome obstacles our trading. And it was supposed to be a trader to learn from the experience, because the experience is not going to lie to us.

Risk management is a big obstacle for me in trading . I can not n=analyze well market it brings aloss again and again . I must say I remain coward to take risk that is why when I open any position market turns towards back . I did many time he same mistake to trade with low account and want high profits. It could not manage my risk .
