    Default Technical theoretical question:

Let's say you want to be long the EUR/USD and short the EUR/AUD

The way I see it is that you are effectively flat the EUR against a short USD and long AUD position. This would translate into being long the AUD/USD pair. First is this theoretically correct???

Second, if I open two accounts and in the first I entered the following two positions:

    LONG $25,000 EUR/USD
    SHORT $25,000 EUR/AUD

and then to compare I open a second account with the following one position:

    LONG $50,000 AUD/USD

Would these two accounts trade equally?
